    The Comets finished the regular season at 8-2 overall and 6-1 in District play.  The Comets were named District Champions - their first title since 2012.

    In the 1st round of the playoffs, the Comets hosted Shawnee and came out on top, 41-28, moving their record to 9-2.  The Comets then advanced to the second round.  This was the Comets' 1st time to advance to the 2nd round since 2012.  It is their 11th overall trip in school history.  


    BK hosted Ardmore on Friday, Nov 18 at 7:30 pm.  The Comets fell to the Tigers 37-29. For the rest of the 5A bracket, please click here.

    • 1st Team - Matt Smith '17 (LB) - Led Class 5A with 196 tackles, including 100 solo as he helped the Comets post a 9-3 record and win the 5A-4 district title. Also had seven sacks. Produced a season-high 22 tackles in a first-round playoff win over Shawnee. Collected 20 tackles and two fumble recoveries in a quarterfinal loss to Ardmore. Also had 20 tackles against Pryor and 18 against 5A runner-up McGuinness. Career totals of 493 tackles and 16 sacks. (TW)  (Matt was also Honorable Mention as a junior and a sophomore).
