BK Volleyball Coach Jerri “Wads” Berna reaches 1,000th career win

(TULSA, OK) – Bishop Kelley High School Varsity Volleyball Head Coach Jerri Wadsworth (Wads) Berna still gets chills when she thinks about the success of the teams she has coached to over 1,000 victories.

"It is an honor to work with these young ladies, at Bishop Kelley, and among such a wonderful community,” she said. “I am very blessed and grateful."

Berna reached 1,000 varsity volleyball wins after a match against Christian Heritage on Aug. 16. She has been head coach for 13 of the 17 school's state volleyball championships and is in her 20th season as a head coach at BK and 27th overall. Wads has been named coach of the year numerous times by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

“I love kids, I love the opportunity to develop them as people, through the sport of volleyball and using my own gift and abilities to better others and glorify the One who gave them to me.”
