The Bishop Kelley Sports Medicine staff consists of a Certified Athletic Trainer, Orthopedic Surgeon, and a group of students who attend Bishop Kelley High School. Out of 35 alumni that were in the program over the last 15 years there are seven former athletic training students that have pursued careers or are in the process of beginning careers in the medical field.
The primary function of the staff is to oversee the health care of the 400+ athletes participating in the 19 sports at Bishop Kelley. The staff is also responsible for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of the injuries that the athletes suffer while participating in athletics at Bishop Kelley. The Sports Medicine Director is responsible for seeing that all student-athletes have a physical on file with the school.
